Camper at Plymouth Pride

Our mobile camera obscura project was back in action at Plymouth Pride festival on the 22nd June 2024. The event was hosted at Central Park and saw thousands of people join the party and celebrate all things pride. We had Molly and Layla running the camper for the day and sharing the experience of the camera obscura.

It’s been a tricky few years for this project, the pandemic really impacting all our amazing bookings to be at festivals and events. But we’ve invested into keeping our vintage camper on the road and are now ready to offer pop-up creative experiences and workshops again!

The Camper Obscura isn’t just a camera obscura, we refitted the vehicle to allow us to take creative media workshops on tour. Working on location we can utilise this space to run photography and filmmaking workshops in communities and at festivals. We’re really excited about developing new outreach projects again and were so delighted at the reaction we had from people at Plymouth Pride – thanks for inviting us!
