FPS April Update

Filmmakers Plymouth Social April Update
29 April 2025
In March Fotonow launched FPS (Filmmakers Plymouth Social), a monthly social event for filmmakers. Creating a space to talk about work, share projects and collaborate. Thursday 22nd April marked our second event and took place in Everyman Cinema’s 1920s style bar. Filmmakers from around the city got together to chat about all things film. Whether they were a cinematographer with over a decade experience, or a student just starting out.

Thursday’s social was particularly abuzz as four filmmakers that met at March’s event were planning their own horror short. Their collaboration will soon to be in production in the city. When asked, they said they probably wouldn’t have crossed paths if it wasn’t for FPS. We look forward to seeing even more FPS inspired productions in the future.
Each month, FPS ticket holders are in with the chance to win two cinema tickets, kindly gifted by Everyman Cinema Plymouth. This month our film intern managed to pull his own name out of the hat, despite looking away with both eyes closed!

The support and enthusiasm for FPS has been immense and we are grateful for that everyone that has come along so far. If you would like to join in, May’s social will take place on Thursday 22nd at Everyman Cinema, from 6pm. Tickets available here: May FPS tickets
Thank you to Everyman Cinema, Screen Devon, D&C Film, and Holly at South West Independent Film digest for their support and help getting the word out
