Youth Innovation Incubator

Fotonow Joins Forces with CAST and NCS for Youth Sector Innovation Incubator
28 October 2024
We are excited to announce that Fotonow CIC has been selected as one of the youth sector organisations to take part in the Youth Sector Innovation Incubator, a collaborative initiative led by The Centre for Acceleration of Social Technology (CAST) and the National Citizen Service (NCS) Trust. This groundbreaking programme brings together forward-thinking organisations and digital partners to develop innovative digital solutions aimed at strengthening social cohesion among young people.
As part of this initiative, Fotonow was one of three youth sector organisations selected, others being Allstar and Groundwork North East. We will get to work alongside digital partner Yalla to explore new ways of creating live online experiences for young people, specifically for ‘The Reflectors,’ a group of young people identified by NCS as those who are naturally introverted and may feel overwhelmed by in-person programmes. Our goal is to create live online experiences that help these young people build connections and feel more comfortable stepping outside their comfort zones. This project is an incredible opportunity for us to utilise our expertise in visual storytelling, youth engagement, and creating inclusive community groups, all while working closely with other like-minded organisations and digital innovators.
At Fotonow, we believe that collaboration is key to creating meaningful change, and this project offers the perfect platform to push the boundaries of digital engagement with young people. We’ll be working through CAST’s design methodology, with the aim of prototyping a digital solution that makes a real impact on young people’s lives.
Stay tuned as we document our journey in this exciting project, and we look forward to sharing our progress in the coming months. In the meantime, you can learn more about the CAST and NCS Youth Sector Innovation Incubator here: CAST and NCS Youth Sector Innovation Incubator
